Skillorbit service information
1. Agreement
Browsing, searching, filtering, viewing listings and opening external links do not require an account. Submitting, claiming, rating, commenting, replying, liking comments, reporting and managing content require a verified account. By registering you confirm you can enter a binding agreement and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Submitting a Skill also requires agreement to the Community Guidelines and a truthfulness commitment about whether the Skill is your own or a public Skill you collected. Claiming a listing also requires agreement to the evidence-storage and retention notice in the Privacy Policy.
2. What Skillorbit is
Skillorbit is a bilingual Skill navigation and discovery directory. It indexes external Skills and links to their original websites. It does not host full SKILL.md packages, run Skills for you, or offer Skill source files for download.
Paid Skills always send you to the original website to learn more or complete a purchase. This first release does not collect Skill payments or process third-party checkout.
3. Human review
New submissions and edits to published Skills require human review before they become public or replace public content. Comments and one-level replies are also reviewed before they appear. While an edit is pending, the last approved version stays public.
4. Accounts
You may register with email and password, Google or GitHub. Verified identities that share the same email are merged. OAuth profiles initially use the provider avatar and nickname; you may edit them later. Email verification is required before you can submit, claim, rate, comment, reply or report.
The first release has one super administrator and no role delegation. That administrator reviews content, manages the catalog, and handles reports, bans and appeals.
You are responsible for the security of your account and for keeping public profile information lawful, accurate and non-impersonating. The administrator may reset abusive profile content.
5. Submissions and claims
Submissions must declare whether the Skill belongs to you or is a public Skill you collected, and you must affirm that declaration. Public-Skill submissions must include an author name and an HTTPS author homepage or GitHub URL. Both are reviewed.
A creator may claim a public listing with a Skill link plus a screenshot of the original development workspace or GitHub account. Claims require administrator review. On approval, the collector loses editing rights and the claimant receives authorship and management rights; displayed author data changes to the claimant's public profile.
6. Prohibited Skills
You may not submit, claim or promote Skills that involve:
- Adult content
- Gambling
- Cryptocurrency trading
- Network-security or penetration-testing content
- Political content
- Medical-advice Skills
- Financial-advice Skills
The administrator may reject, unpublish or remove listings that violate this section, and may restrict related accounts.
7. Your content
You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant Skillorbit a non-exclusive licence to store, display, moderate and, where the material is public, distribute listing metadata, covers, comments and related public material so the directory can operate.
You must have the rights needed to submit a listing, cover, comment or claim evidence, and your content must not infringe others' intellectual-property or other legal rights. Use the copyright complaint page to report infringement.
8. External websites
Listings point to third-party websites. Skillorbit does not control those sites, does not host their packages, and is not responsible for their content, pricing, availability or terms. When you leave this directory you do so under the rules of the destination site.
9. Moderation and bans
The administrator may refuse, unpublish, remove or reset content that violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines. Rejections and bans include a user-visible reason. Rejected content can be edited and resubmitted.
Bans may be temporary or permanent. Existing public content usually remains visible with an account-disabled marker. Banned users may log in to read notifications and submit a text-and-image appeal, reviewed by the same administrator.
10. Account deletion
You may delete your account from account settings. After deletion, published Skills may remain public with an account-deleted marker, become platform-managed and claimable, and ratings, comments and replies may remain in anonymized form. Unpublished submissions and ordinary notifications are deleted. Security and moderation logs are retained under the claim-evidence rules in the Privacy Policy. If you cannot complete deletion in the product, contact the administrator through the copyright complaint page and describe the request.
11. Disclaimers
The directory is provided as is. We do not warrant that listings are complete, that a Skill will work for your purpose, or that external sites are safe or available. To the extent permitted by law, Skillorbit and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your use of a third-party Skill.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The revised text will appear on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
